The Institute
of Chartered Accountant of India (ICAI) is a statutory body
established under the Chartered Accountant Act,1949(Act No. XXXVIII of 1949) for
the regulation of the professional of Chartered Accountants in India.D uring
its
more than five decades of existence,ICAI has achieved recognition as a premier
accounting body not only in the country but also globally,for its contribution in
the
fields of education,professional development and maintenance of high
accounting,auditing and ethical standards,ICAI now is the second largest accounting
body in the World.
ICAI has its Headquarters at New Delhi with five Regional Offices at Mumbai,
Chennai,Kanpur,Kolkata,New Delhi and 111 branches spread all over the
country.
In addition ,it has also set up 18 chapter outside India and a office in Dubai.

The Bhopal
Branch of the Institute of
Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) was established in 1981 by the institute.The branch was Inaugrated
by
Shri CA K.L. Agrawal on 2 April 1981. He was also the first chairman of Bhopal Branch and the Secretary of Bhopal Branch was Shri.CA V.S. Rajdev.
The basic aim of this establishment is to serve the students and the chartered accountants
of this region covering the entire area of Madhya Pradesh.
